HANS NEARLY WINS; SCORES FOUR TOP TENS IN LAST FOUR RACES

With a month-long visit to North Carolina behind her, Andrea Hans returned home to Indiana for local short track racing two weekends ago, and it became obvious very quickly that she benefitted from her time in the South as she racked up four top tens in four starts.

In her first race back, Hans hit up the Speedrome but rain wreaked havoc with the schedule. Heat races were eliminated, giving Hans the outside pole for the feature. She pounced on the start, taking the lead and showing the way for 20 of the event’s 25 laps. She ended the run in the third position. Read More...

HANS 7TH OUT OF 24 LEGENDS CARS SATURDAY AT ILLIANA

SCHERERVILLE, Ind. – After another solid run Saturday at Illiana (Ind.) Motor Speedway, no one can tag Andrea Hans’ second season behind the wheel of a legends car as a “sophomore slump.” In fact, Andrea’s driving and results have improved drastically since 2008, and the Indiana racer now heads to the track with top-five finishes and potential wins on her mind. ANDREA HANS WINS FIRST LEGENDS CAR RACE FRIDAY AT CONCORD

CONCORD, N.C. – Andrea Hans and her family traveled from their Indiana home to North Carolina late last week with plans for Andrea to continue her improvement in the legends car class Friday night at Concord Speedway’s quarter-mile oval. What the 16-year-old Indiana racer didn’t necessarily plan on was winning her first INEX legends car event, but that’s exactly what she did in the semi-pro legends feature. Read More...

 


Andrea finishes her quarter midget career where she takes her new legends car on the last race to promote future racing to the kids at the track. She is given the honor to parade the American flag attached to her car during the National Anthem. She says, “I will miss all of my friends I have made at the track. We had an awesome class that helped each other out even though we were competitors.”
